Girls Pint Out Chapter: Detroit Girls Pint Out

What’s your favorite thing about running a GPO chapter?
I have loved meeting amazing, creative and interesting women through GPO events. There are so many women in the beer industry now, and their passion really inspires me! It’s also a great opportunity to explore where I live, and try new and exciting places throughout the city.

What other activities do you like to do besides drink beer?
Travel! My husband and I have been to 10 countries, and have no plans to stop. The bug bit us pretty hard right after we got married, and we are always planning our next big trip. We love to explore, try new food and really immerse ourselves in whatever local culture we’re visiting.

What’s your favorite beer and food pairing?
Most definitely the classic beer and a burger. Where I live is pretty much a food and beer heaven, so it’s easy to try new things all the time. I love a big, cheesy burger with a crisp pilsner most of the time, but really, as long as it’s a burger, I can drink any kind of beer with it.

What are the new trends in craft beer that excite you the most?
For the past year or so I have been pretty crazy about New England IPAs, and so far, I have not lost any love for them. I know a lot of people think they’re trendy and are tired of NEIPAs, but I just love that hazy, juicy goodness. I am also excited about Imperial Stouts popping up all over the place, as I just can’t seem to get into barrel-aged anything.
