Join Columbus Gives Back and Columbus Girls Pint Out on Thursday, May 30th for a dog-centric happy hour! We’ll be hosted by Pretentious Barrel House in East Columbus, who will be donating 1$ per pint or flight of four to our nonprofit spotlight this month – Cause for Canines! Cause for Canines (C4K9) is a volunteer based all-breed dog rescue founded in Central Ohio committed to the rescue of homeless dogs, dogs given up by their owners due to difficult circumstances or those in danger of abuse or neglect, and dogs in shelters that are at risk of euthanasia. Cause for Canines’ mission is to find safe, loving, committed and permanent homes for the dogs who are taken into rescue.

Pretentious has a dog-friendly policy indoors and outdoors, so if your dog is friendly on a leash, bring them with you! We’ll have a 50/50 raffle in which half of all contributions will go to Cause for Canines, and some other goodies for this grand event!
Our joint partner this month, Girls Pint Out, is a national craft beer organization for women with whom Columbus Gives Back has collaborated with before! Our mission is to build a community of women who love craft beer and who are an active, contributing part of the greater craft beer community. Through social media, blog posts, and local events hosted by chapters, Girls Pint Out offers a forum for discussion, education, and fun!
It is ALWAYS free to come to a CGB happy hour, but attendees are encouraged to bring a donation for Cause for Canines! Cause for Canines can always use any of the following items:
Leashes/Collars
Dogs Toys/Tennis Balls/Kongs
Puppy Pads
Dog Treats
Poop Bags
If you’ve never been to a Columbus Gives Back or a Girls Pint Out event, this is the perfect opportunity to get to know more about what we both do! If you have, come to see old friends and meet new volunteers. Anyone 21 and over is welcome, so bring everyone you’d love to hang out with!
